Your worksheet:

How to make your worksheet

  1. Pick a word list, or choose “Type your own words” and type them.
  2. Type the child’s name if you want it on the page.
  3. Print. Write the date at the top of a column each time you check.

How to check a word

Show the word on a card or in a book, not on this list. Mark it only when it is read at once, with no sounding out.

Three marks

A word read right away on three different days is known. Move on to new words and come back to it now and then.
