The goal: on day 10 your child says every sound in words like stop, jump and frog, and reads blend words never seen before.
For the child who reads short words like cat and hop, but reads stop as top and jump as jup. About five minutes a day from you.
That is the goal, not a promise. Some children have blends in a week, and some need the ten days twice. The plan teaches blends at the end and at the start, and five-sound words.

“stop” read as “top.” A sound is left out.
A dot for each letter. Every sound, then the word.
Your child reads top. Then one letter is added at the start, and the word is read as top again. That does not mean your child is not trying. Said fast, two sounds side by side run together, so the ear catches only one. So this plan teaches one habit: every letter gets its sound.
See it and hear itThis is the day 2 track your child works with. It waits, then gives the answer. Nothing listens back.
Not every child who is stuck on blends is stuck in the same place. Day 1 is a four-minute check that shows you which day to start on.
Leaves a sound out: stop read as top. Start at day 2.
stop → “top”
The first blends are steadyReads hand and stop, but stops at frog and stamp. Start at day 6.
stamp → ?
Go to the story on day 9, then do the final check.

The ten daysIt starts from a word your child can already read, and adds one sound: ten, then tent; top, then stop. Blends at the end first, because they are easier to hear. Then at the start, one family a day: with s, with l, with r. Then five-sound words, and a story.
Everything in your packIt is more than worksheets. It is the pages, someone showing you each day, and a voice that works with your child while you stay nearby.

Ten days of pages with the hand-drawn Sound It Out friends. A dot under every sound, so two letters side by side show two dots. Color and ink-saving black and white, US Letter and A4.

One a day, about a minute. You see the day’s blends tapped out on tiles, letter by letter, with the real sounds, before you sit down. With captions.
Days 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7. Your child points under each letter while the voice waits, then hears stop, frog or stamp sounded out, and checks the answer alone.

Day 1 sorts end blends, start blends and five-sound words, so you skip what is already firm. Day 10 uses blend words printed on no other page.
Each card shows two letters side by side, a word and a picture: sl in sled, fl in flag, cr in crab. Your child reads them first each day.
Type in the day 1 and day 10 numbers. The report shows which blends moved, and whether Ship and Chip is the next step.

Three steps to begin, and a code to scan for the welcome video. You are never left wondering what to do first.

One star to color for each day.

With your child’s name, and signed by you.

“With your grown-up, 2 minutes” is printed on every page. Days 1, 5 and 10 are checks, and those need you for the whole page. A young child may need you nearby on other days too. If a day is easy, do the next one. If a day is hard, do it again tomorrow.

It is not a promise: some children hear every sound in a blend within a week, others need the ten days twice. It covers consonant blends only. Pairs such as sh, ch and th make one new sound; they are in Ship and Chip. Dropping a sound in a blend is not a sign of dyslexia on its own; if your child is seven or older, or reading is very hard in other ways too, talk to the teacher as well. There is no app and no screen time. A child who cannot read cat and hop yet starts with the blending plan, and the free check shows that. You will need a printer and scissors.
A printer, a pencil, crayons, and scissors for the six blend cards. Nothing else, and no screen for your child.
Two or three consonants side by side, where each one keeps its own sound: st in stop, fl in flag, nd in hand. Your child already knows every sound. What is new is saying them one right after the other.
Said fast, two sounds side by side run together, so the ear catches only one, and the eyes skip a letter. It is very common. A finger under every letter, and a sound for every letter, fixes the habit.
At the end. Blends at the end, like hand and lamp, are easier to hear, so this plan starts there. Then blends at the start, one family a day: with s, with l, and with r.
Most children who need this are five to seven. Your child should already read short words like cat, hop and sit, even slowly. The free check shows you whether that step is steady.
About five minutes: two minutes on the first job with you, then your child works with the sound track and reads three blend words to you at the end.
Go back one day and do the pairs again: top, then stop. Put a finger under every letter. The day 5 check tells you whether to go on or repeat days 2 to 4.
You can stop there. If you want daily practice to keep going, The One Sheet gives your child one sheet a day, made from what you tell us. It is a separate plan, $9.99 a month, and you can cancel any time.
No. Nothing in this pack watches, listens to or records your child. You are the one who listens.
