Why worksheets stop working

A worksheet cannot see your child

You are not short of worksheets. You are short of the right one for tomorrow.

Made once, for everyone

A worksheet

It does not know today was hard. It does not know which rule was forgotten. Tomorrow you guess again.

or
Made today, for MiaA grammar sheet made for Mia

The One Sheet

Made from what you said a minute ago. The first three jobs are about the capital letter that was forgotten.

Quality control

Made fast. Never made carelessly.

Every sheet has to pass the same strict rules before it reaches you.

">Only rules your child has reached

Every sentence on a sheet comes from the stage your child is on or an earlier one. Nothing from further along is slipped in.

Checked before it is sent

Every sheet has to pass its checks before it reaches you. A sheet that fails a check is never sent.

">Paper, not a screen

Your child works with a pencil. The family page is for you, for one minute a day.

Nothing watches your child

No camera and no microphone. You are the eyes. We keep a nickname and the grammar record, and nothing else.

Who should not buy this: a child who cannot read short sentences yetEvery grammar sheet has sentences to read, like “The dog ran fast.” If your child is not reading those yet, start with the reading plan. This is also not a spelling plan or a handwriting plan, and the road ends at words like ran, went and Sam’s.
And a parent who wants a screen to do the teachingThis is paper, and you sit with your child at the start of each sheet. It does not replace a teacher, and it does not diagnose anything. It does not promise a result by a date.

Questions

Before you start

What do I need?

A printer, a pencil for your child, and about five minutes. There is nothing to install. Your child should be able to read short sentences, or you can read them aloud.

How is a sheet made for my child?

You say how the sheet went and what you saw. The Sheet Maker builds the next sheet around exactly that, out of sentences from the stage your child is on or an earlier one, and it is ready in seconds. When a day goes well, the next sheet moves on. The answers are not printed on your child’s sheet. They are on your family page.

What can I write in the note?

Plain words. For example: the capital letter or the period that was forgotten; is and are mixed up; the s left off for more than one; a letter written backward, like b or d; or that it was a tired day. A rule your child has not reached yet waits until the road gets there. If the note is about something else, your choice of Easy, Just right or Hard still decides the next sheet.

What if my child already knows some grammar?

Then the starting check places your child further along the road, and the sheets begin there. You do not have to start from capital letters.

How long does a sheet take?

A few minutes of your time at the start. Children work at different speeds, so we do not put a number on your child’s part.

How do I cancel?

Any time. Open your orders page at Polar, the shop that handles our payments, and cancel there.

Is my child’s information safe?

The family page stores a nickname and the grammar record. Nothing else. Nothing watches, listens to or records your child.

Is there reading and math too?

Yes. Reading and math are their own plans, made the same way, at $9.99 a month each. Or take all three together for $14.95 a month. One family page holds them all.
