Reading passage generator with questions

A passage, questions and lines for the answers

Make a reading comprehension page. Type your own passage and your own questions, or pick a story from our hand-checked library by level and topic. The passage prints with numbered questions and lines for the answers.

Start a row with G: for a line the grown-up reads. Put a word in brackets, like [cat], to show it as a picture.

Questions a beginner can answer

The questions that come with the library stories ask who, what and where, and every answer can be found in the words of the story. Ask your child to point to the words that give the answer.

Your own passage

Paste any text you have the right to use: a paragraph from a class book, a note you wrote, a fact page. Each new line in the box starts a new paragraph on the sheet.

Nothing is written by a machine

The page prints what you type or a story from the library. It does not write passages or questions.

Is what I type stored?
