How to make your worksheet

  1. Choose a reading level, or type what the passage should be about.
  2. Pick a passage from the list, or choose to type your own.
  3. Choose questions with lines to write on, questions to talk about, or none.
  4. Print. Your child reads the passage, then looks back to find each answer.

The reading skill

Reading comprehension is understanding what was read. A beginner first has to be able to read the words, so every passage in the library is written with words of one reading level.

Passages a beginner can sound out

Each passage is labeled with its phonics skill, from short vowel words to long vowels. Pick the level your child is working on.

Your own passage

Type or paste any passage and add your own questions. What you type stays on your device.
