The reading skill

Number words are words a child meets early in books and in every math problem. Several, such as one, two and eight, cannot be sounded out, so they are learned by reading and writing them often.

Read first

Ask your child to read the word and count the dots before tracing.

Our own letters

The dotted words have a start dot and an arrow on the first letter, like our other tracing pages.

Good questions

Is this a math page?

It is a word reading page. The number and the dots are there to show what each word means.

Can I hide the number?

Yes. Choose “Nothing” beside each word and your child has to read the word alone.

Can I print in black and white?

Yes. Choose “Black and white” under “Print in”. Every picture becomes a line drawing your child can color in.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no limit.
