Dot marker letter and word maker

Letters, numbers and words made of circles to dab

Print letters, numbers or short words made of circles. Your child fills each circle with a dot marker, a round sticker, a fingerprint or a crayon. Each letter page also has a row of circles to find and dab the same letter.

How to make your worksheet

  1. Choose small letters, capitals, both together, numbers, your own letters, or words.
  2. Choose big circles for dot markers, or small ones for stickers and crayons.
  3. Keep the find-the-letter row and the picture, or turn them off.
  4. Print. One letter is one page.

Made from real letter shapes

The circles follow the same pen strokes as the letters in our tracing pages, so a dabbed letter has the shape your child will later write.

No dot markers?

Round stickers, a cotton swab dipped in paint, a fingertip on an ink pad or a crayon all work. Choose the small circles for stickers and crayons.

Find the letter

The row at the bottom mixes the letter with other letters. Your child dabs only the right ones. It is a quick check that the letter is known by sight.

Good questions

What size are the circles?

The big circles are about 17 mm across, the size of most dot markers. The small ones are about 10 mm.

Can I make my child’s name in dots?

Yes. Choose “Words” and type the name. Long names get smaller circles so they fit across the page.

Does it make numbers?

Yes. Choose “Numbers 0 to 9”, or type the numbers you want.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no limit.
