Your worksheet:

How to make your worksheet

  1. Choose what goes on the cards: a sight word list, CVC words, letters, numbers or your own words.
  2. Choose the size: 3 by 3 is right for a 4 or 5 year old; 5 by 5 is for a whole class.
  3. Choose how many different cards you need, from 1 to 30.
  4. Print the cards and the calling cards. Cut the calling cards apart and mix them up.

How to play

Pick a calling card and read it out. Everyone who has that word covers it with a coin or a button. The first to cover a whole line calls “Bingo!” and reads the words back.

A small card needs few words

A 3 by 3 card with a free space needs only eight words. That makes it a good game for the handful of words your child is learning this week.
