I have, who has game maker

A chain of cards: each one calls the next

Make an “I have, who has” game. Each card says “I have” with one word and “Who has” with the next. The player who holds that word reads next, and so on around the group. The last card asks for the first word, so the chain always closes.

  4. The player with the star card starts.

The reading skill

Every player reads two words out loud, and listens for one word the whole time. It is practice in reading words and in hearing them.

“I have” and “Who has”

These two lines are the same on every card. Read them with the group once before the first game; after that the children know them.

For a class or a family

Twenty-four cards suit a class. Eight suit a small group, with two cards each.
