b, d, p, q and numbers that face the wrong way
Make a letter reversal worksheet. On the letter page, each row starts with a letter and its picture, ball for b, dog for d, pig for p and queen for q, and your child circles that letter every time it comes. On the number page, each box shows a number twice, once the right way and once backwards, and your child circles the right one.
Your worksheet:
Mixing up b and d, or writing a 3 backwards, is common at five and six. Most children grow out of it by seven. Practice one letter at a time with its picture, and the mix-ups settle.
If reversals are still common after age seven, or reading is hard in other ways too, tell the teacher.
