How to make your worksheet

  1. Choose letters or words.
  2. For words, pick a word set or type your own.
  3. Choose how many pages.
  4. Print. Your child cuts out one row at a time and glues it in order.

The reading skill

Knowing the order of the alphabet by heart is needed for letter names, for finding words in a list, and later for a dictionary.

Only the first letter

In the word rows every word starts with a different letter, so a beginner only has to look at the first letter.

One row at a time

Each row has a number, and so do its pieces. Cut and glue one row before starting the next.

Good questions

Small letters or capitals?

Either. Choose under “Letters”.

Can I type my own words?

Is there an answer key?

Yes. Leave “Answer key page” turned on and the key prints as the last page.

Can I get a different page each time?

Yes. Press “New version: mix it again” and the maker picks again.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no limit.
