Number cut and paste worksheets

Count, cut, glue: numbers 1 to 20

Make a cut and paste page for numbers. On the counting page your child counts the pictures in each box, cuts out the numbers at the bottom and glues the right one in. On the number order page the numbers stand in a row with gaps, and the missing ones are glued in where they belong.

Why cut and paste

Cutting and gluing gives small hands real work, and a number that is glued can be moved until it is right. Nothing has to be written, so a child who cannot yet form the numbers can still show what is known.
