Trace the shape, trace its name, count its sides
Make a shapes worksheet. Your child traces each shape on a dashed line and then traces its name in dotted letters. On the sides and corners page each shape is counted and the numbers are written in boxes. On the find and count page twenty shapes are mixed together to find, count and write down.
Your worksheet:
A side is counted when it is straight. So a triangle has 3 sides and 3 corners, a square and a rectangle have 4 and 4, and a circle and an oval have none. The harder set adds a pentagon with 5 and a hexagon with 6.
Tracing the name under the shape ties the word your child says to the letters that spell it.
Circle, square, triangle and rectangle first. Then oval, diamond, star and heart. The sides and corners page uses a pentagon and a hexagon in place of the star and the heart.

Yes, with no sign-up and no limit.
No maker matches that yet. Clear the box to see them all.
“Behind in reading” can mean ten different things, and each one needs different help. Check off what is true for your child. You will see what to work on first, and what can wait.
